Precautions while installing Pneumatic system wrench

Precautions while installing Pneumatic system wrench

In today’s blog, the discussion is all about the YOKOTA pneumatic system wrench and the precautions that are to be taken while installing it.

YOKOTA is one of the most respected and known brands in assembling solutions all over the world and their Pneumatic system wrench is one of the most advanced system wrenches used for assembling critical applications at a very large scale with high-level accuracy.

YOKOTA system wrenches are used where the tightening requires a high-level accuracy and the tightening should be done with a very less tact time with negligible reaction. YOKOTA uses a torque transducer and angle sensor to maintain accuracy.

YOKOTA Pneumatic system wrench is a very complex and critical application. It requires a very sustainable environment for its installation and working as it consists of many other accessories besides the tool unit containing the transducer. To work properly system wrench and it’s all other accessories should work simultaneously its installation site should be analyzed properly before installing it.

Precaution to take while Installing Pneumatic System Wrench

  • Tool Unit

Tool unit is the most complex part of the system wrench as it consists of torque transducer, pulse unit & motor. They all work collectively to provide efficient tightening.

1. The tool should be mounted properly on a spring balancer with safety rope as a failsafe.
2. There should be enough space around the tool unit so the tool can move freely without any impact on its body.
3. Hose connector should be tightened properly in the tool unit to prevent any leakage.
4. The tool unit should be hanged at a proper height to prevent any damage.

  • Control Unit
The control unit is the brain of the whole system wrench as it controls the whole tightening operation.

1. The Controller unit should be mounted on a proper metal frame and there should be no vibration.
2. All kinds of electric noise should exempt so that there will be no interference in the controller signals.
3. The controller should be connected to a constant voltage within the voltage range and the power supply should be grounded.
4. The controller is mounted in such a way that it can be connected to the tool cable easily.

  • F.R.L, Solenoid valve & Pneumatic connection
Feed, regulator, and lubricator are used for supplying the compressed air to the tool unit and their work is to absorb the moisture from the air, regulate the air pressure and to add limited oil in the air to reduce internal friction.

The solenoid valve is used for high/low-pressure switching while tightening and to shut off the tool after tightening.

1. F.R.L along the solenoid should be connected near the main pneumatic line and maintaining that the pneumatic pipe and solenoid valve can be connected to the control and tool unit.
2. While assembling the F.R.L & solenoid valve any kind of leakage should be noted otherwise it can lead to pressure drop while tightening.
3. F.R.L unit should be located where its setting cannot be altered easily.

  • Wiring
1. All the wiring should be done after the controller is mounted properly.
2. The wire should not entangle and there will be no contact between the wire and sharp corner or object.
3. All the wire should be routed properly keeping in the record about the tool movement.
