Pulse tools usage is increasing day by day in various manufacturing industries where assembly of application is done requiring a very high torque range with a very much less tact time. They apply torque in small increments rather than in one continuous blow. When the fastener is running free, the tool doesn't pulse and the driveshaft spins rapidly. Free speeds of 4,000 to 8,000 RPM are typical for pulse tools, with some smaller pistol-grip models topping out at 10,500 rpm. Once the fastener is snug, the tool begins pulsing, that is, applying short bursts of torque that only last a few milliseconds.

Pulse tools are advanced and are used most commonly in various manufacturing industries and also automation industries for the tightening procedures. The tools use a pulse unit which is fixed inside the tool unit. It is used to generate the torque requires for the tightening of the bolts. The tightening provided by the pulse tool has no reaction and the operator can handle the tool efficiently.

The main advantage of the pulse tools having an oil pulse unit to generate the required torque there is no metal to metal contact (like Impact Mechanism) it provides a softer, more controlled pulse with very much low vibration and noise than an impact wrench.

The pulse tool compresses the oil in the pulse unit which is located between the main shaft and the motor, to produce oil pressure which is transferred to the shaft to developed the rotational torque. As there is no metal to metal contact to develop torque there are no vibrations and noise. Also, there is no wear and tear of the tool.

The vibration and the noise can affect the tightening procedure and also can affect the operator handling the tools while tightening. The vibration generated by the conventional impact tool affects the torque accuracy due to which tightening remains inefficient. They also have a very adverse effect on the operator due to the vibrations they made while tightening unlike the pulse tool which does the tightening vibrations less and with better torque accuracy.

The oil in the pulse tool is a special oil with a certain viscosity and a mixture of different oil in a fixed ratio. The viscosity of the oil is one of the main reasons for the performance of the pulse unit. If the viscosity of the oil in the pulse tool is too low then the torque generated by the pulse unit is less and if the oil viscosity is too high then the pulse unit will not work properly.

This oil pulse the unit has two driving blades and the same sealing lines on the shaft as well as the internal surface of the Liner, and every rotation of the Liner produces a uniform pulse by excellent contact of those sealing lines. (1 - 8) Liner, synchronizing with air motor supply’s instant rotation torque to Shaft by two driving Blades, which is repeated more than 10 times to tighten fasteners. Consequently, ideal uniform pulse and well-balanced rotation are produced to realize efficient fastening workability with high torque output, remarkably low vibration and noise level.
